Lava Cake

Ingredients

  • 350g dark chocolate
  • 250g butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 125g granulated sugar
  • 100g flour

Preparation Steps

  1. Start by cutting the butter and dark chocolate into pieces. Melt them in a double boiler.

  2. In a bowl, beat the eggs with sugar to get a fluffy mixture. Incorporate the flour and mix again with an electric whisk.

  3. Pour in the melted chocolate/butter mixture, then mix to have a homogeneous batter. Keep cool for 30 minutes or until the moment of serving the lava cakes.

  4. Preheat your oven to 200°C.

  5. Pour the batter into previously greased muffin molds. Bake in the oven for 8 minutes.

  6. Let the lava cakes cool for a few minutes, then serve immediately while the centers are still molten.

  7. (Optional) Add powdered sugar and home made raspberry jam to serve.
